Shall we say; “change happens when stories change”?

Or that; “stories change when change happens”?

It is very difficult to tell whether the monumental changes in our history happened because of changes in narrative.

Or that, the narrative changed because big changes occured in our society.

It is certain, however, that they both go hand-in-hand.

For change to happen, it is the narrative that first begins to change. The desire to change the narrative then catalyses the process of creating change in the society.

While changes in stories influence changes in the society, no change is ever complete without a change in narrative.
